Inspections are another piece of the transaction puzzle that require experience and navigation. There is a general inspection but, depending on the house, you may need additional inspections for specific parts of the home. All of this must be done within a required timeframe, including asking for repairs.

If you need to get a loan to purchase your home, an appraisal will need to be done to determine the value of the property. But, did you know that you can voluntarily waive the appraisal? This is something I recommend doing if you are confident about the value of the home and if you want to present a strong offer to the seller. And taking this step can even help in a multiple offer situation.
